This month we will have an informative presentation on using Photoshop for web development.

Topics will include: the ins and outs of using type as graphics; easy retouching techniques, all with done with a nondestructive approach; fundamental concepts of masking; file formats for master files vs best for web; resolution; and best practices in file management.

Presented by instructor Stephen Blauweiss, who has been using Photoshop since its inception in 1990. He's been an instructor at Pratt Institute, F.I.T. and a principal trainer at CBS TV and The New York Times. Some of his work can be seen at www.hudsonvalleyphotoshop.com

After the presentation there will be a Q&A period. Bring your questions or share a tip. We will end the evening with open discussions about whatever interests you.

Attention New Members: We meet in the basement of the library. If you arrive and the front door is locked, please come down to the basement level door and we'll let you in. Bring your laptop if you have one! NOTE: $5 member fee covers expenses for rental of the library space, Meetup website subscription, and refreshments.
