I recently did an Innovation Games workshop with Luke Hohmann. Innovation Games are a form of qualitative market research that provides an environment in which you can discover unknown unknowns about customer / user / stakeholder needs. In simpler language: they're a fun way to figure out what to build and when.

There's a list of Innovation Games at: http://innovationgame...
Ones that are particularly useful on Scrum projects are "Product Box" for visioning, "20-20 Vision", "Prune the Product Tree" and "Buy a Feature" for prioritisation. The one I'm most interested in playing is "Buy a Feature". That also happens to be one of the most challenging to run with a large-ish group but hey, let's give it a go!

Each player in the game is provided a set amount of money with which to purchase features. You can't buy all the features you want with the cash you have so you need to pool your cash with other players (customers).

Feel free to bring your own Monopoly (or real) money!
