Date: Sat.11th to 15th August
Venue: Dayara Bugyal (high alltitude meadow in Uttarkashi)
We are planning a 5-6 days trip to this lush green meadow which will be abundant with flowers and riverlets/streams in the month of August.
the aim is to utilise the 15th Aug. holiday clubbed with the weekend.
Given below is a rough itinerary for the 5 days trip:-

sat 11th aug - drive from delhi to village Barsu via rishikesh-uttarkashi - overnite stay at Barsu

Sun.12th aug- trek from Barsu to Barnala tal (lake - 4-5 kms)

overnite camp at Barnara tal

Mon.13th aug - trek from Barnara to Dayara (6 kms trek)

overnite camp at Dayara

Tues 14th aug - trek from Dayara downhill to Barsu (8 kms)

overnite at Barsu

Wed.15th aug - drive back to delhi - reach delhi late at night.

(we will mules and porters who will also act as our guide to carry our luggage and the hired equipment)
Inputs/suggestions are welcome at this point before we finalise.

Mode of transport - drive delhi to delhi in a pvt. vehicle (10-12 hrs one way) or take a train upto Dehradun/Rishikesh and from there hire a taxi up n down to Barsu from where the trek starts.

Approximate cost per head - Rs. 7000/- (this is a very rough estimate - we still have to work out the economics and shall put up the final cost per head shortly)

Accommodation: GMVN TRH at village Barsu (we have not booked anything yet)
