This hike is so secret I can't describe it in detail here. All I can say is it won't be too strenuous and there will be no bushwhacking. We will probably be trespassing, but we won't cross any fences and will obey signs (see California Penal Code 602). There is a burned out ranch and other structures on the property that will provide some great photo opps. A menacing "No Trespassing" sign hangs on a fence that stretches across the dirt road entrance, but no fencing marking property lines (that I have seen -- hence "exploratory"). Some of the buildings have revocable-right-to-pass plaquards attached (as seen through a zoom lens). I've passed by this area on other hikes for the past few years while never seeing any activity and have always been intrigued by it.
Exact meeting location will be given to attendees Friday via email.
