How do you switch your state of mind?

Sometimes EVERYTHING flows easily -- your timing is perfect -- your relationships are amiable and it's easy to connect! You feel eager and up for a new adventure.

Yet other times you can't focus on your work, but you aren't really enjoying yourself either. You drift, "space out" or "stew" about something someone said or did. Where did the time go? What makes the difference? What have we learned about the brain so you can shift gears from one state to another?

Thursday night we'll practice shifting gears naturally into enjoyable useful states.

There is a special way to make the switch naturally. When you understand the STRUCTURE of different states, you can then make subtle changes, and move to a new state of mind - a state you want - quickly.

Come practice this with a group of thoughtful and creative people. It's social, yet you can try something new as you wish. You'll explore how to

-- spend more time in pleasant moods you choose -- lighten up any 'darker' ones when you want to -- discover the structure of useful states so you can switch; when you want to!

We can pattern people we admire for their disposition, warmth, and communication skills. So bring one of your "grumpy" states to transform, and your pleasant ones to share.

How this evening works? We gather twice a month to explore new communication techniques, useful current research findings on how the brain works, and have fun together.

Our members are bright, friendly and curious, and we share tea, talk, and explorations. You are welcome to join us!
