His research and development has been a substantial, coordinated effort involving universities, industries, and the public sector in simultaneous research, development, and implementation at scale. Through his exploration of algae as a source for bioplastics, Youngs has developed some key products that are revolutionizing the algae industry. Algaeventure Systems’ newly invented harvester is a breakthrough technology that efficiently extracts algae out of water and removes the moisture content to less than 5% with minimal energy costs.
