For the December user group meeting, Raphael Mudge from Automattic (WordPress, Akismet, IntenseDebate, Gravatar, and others) will join us to talk about After the Deadline (AtD). AtD is a software service that gives web applications word processor quality tools to check spelling, misused words, style, and grammar. The entire stack (including the server) is open source. Raphael will talk about After the Deadline and how you can add these tools to your application.

Talk topics include:
• Why the browser spell checker is not enough
 • After the Deadline - what it is and where its artificial intelligence comes from
 • Start to finish integration with a web application using:jQuery, TinyMCE
 • Case Study: WordPress.com - learn how we do it at Automattic
 •
If your application involves user generated content in any way, you need to hear this talk.
