The Morgan Library
Let's ring in the new year (and the new decade) at the Morgan Library! There is much to see and the price is reasonable ($8 for students with ID; $12 for adults). Although there is no tour, the film "Divine Jane: Reflections on Austen" will be playing. Please note: This is the last date for many of these superb exhibitions. Don't miss them!

Rococo and Revolution: Eighteenth-Century French Drawings

Rococo and Revolution: Eighteenth-Century French Drawings features more than eighty exceptional drawings almost exclusively from the Morgan's renowned holdings. Artists represented in the exhibition include Antoine Watteau, Jacques-Louis David, François Boucher, and Jean-Honoré Fragonard, among others.
Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol

Dickens's original manuscript of A Christmas Carol, on view in Mr. Morgan's Library, serves as the centerpiece of the Morgan's holiday programs.
Celebrating Puccini

Featuring the life and music of one of opera's iconic figures, composer Giacomo Puccini, the exhibition celebrates the 150th anniversary (20082009) of Puccini's birth in Lucca, Italy, on December 22, 1858.

Pierpont Morgan took great interest in ancient Near Eastern seals, as is evident from his collection, dating 3500330 B.C.
