Presentation Abstract:
"How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love (Monitoring) My Site's Users"
Anyone who has used a Web application of even modest functionality has likely encountered at least one problem that prevented completion of a desired task. In fact, according to the Harris Interactive Survey, 87% of consumers conducting transactions online have experienced problems. Testing a Web application of more than the most trivial complexity rarely results in preventing even glaring errors that can cost the site customers. To cope with this situation, an ecosystem of customer experience management tools is rapidly growing. We'll survey some of the techniques that can help you catch and cope with problems in your Web applications, both before and after going live in production.


Bio:
Al Chou has been with TeaLeaf Technology, Inc. since 2001 in various roles, including QA Manager and Support Manager. He is currently TeaLeaf's Professional Services bespoke development consultant and technical advisor. Al trained as a computational plasma physicist and works on Rails-based Web sites when the demands of the horse ranch allow.
