Social Media Panel
Join SEMPO as we discuss social media and how it fits into and can influence your search marketing programs. Weve put together a great panel of three local prosBrian Murphy of Location3 Media, Joe Rogel of Gaiam and Scott Smeester. Each panelist will represent one social site, offering tips and exclusive insight in that social media community.
Brian Murphy Google Buzz
Director of Sales and Marketing, Location3 Media
Brian will be playing the part of Google Buzz on this panel. In just two weeks time, Google Buzz went from the hottest social trend to a nightmare of privacy issues and feature flaws. Discover Brians take on Buzz and its potential for interactive marketers (if Google can fix the issues, of course).
Joe Rogel Facebook
Social Media Strategist, Gaiam
Joe has a great deal of experience with Facebook, and not just from checking up on high school sweethearts. Joe has used Facebook to increase brand awareness and fan interaction for Gaiam and Guidespot, among others. Joe will discuss how businesses should be using Facebook, whether organizations should go with a Group or Page, how to measure results and how to integrate Facebook into your larger marketing programs.
Scott Smeester Twitter
Sales & Growth Strategist, Smeester & Associates
Scott has more than 31,000 followers and has posted more than 2,800 tweets. He will discuss tactics for growing your followers, how to fit Twitter into your daily schedule, who should be tweeting, what they should and should not say, how Twitter affects your overall search programs and how to automate tweets.
The panel is moderated by Angie Pascale, communications specialist at Location3 Media. Angie tweets and Facebooks and blogs, too. But she refuses to Buzz until Google gets their act together.
