I hope everyone enjoyed February's Coding Dojo session presented by Caike Souza. For those who weren't in attendance, check out our solution on GitHub, and thanks to all those who were there! It was a lot of fun, and everyone got to participate, which is why we're doing it again this month...!
Yes, this month we're doing another Coding Dojo. I foresee this trend continuing until we all get sick of it or until Caike has a regular Dojo night of his own that we can all attend (anytime you're ready, sir). We'll pick a problem when we get there, and several people have volunteered suggestions. Just remember, we're not doing your work for you: no real-world problems! It was also suggested that we take a swing at javaScript instead of PHP, but this is the Orlando PHP User Group, after all... Maybe we'll save the javaScript for the regular Orlando Dojo sessions...?
For more info on the Orlando Coding Dojo, check out the official Wordpress blog and the official Google group / mailing list.
Because the Dojo works best when everyone can see your work, we'll be meeting at the clubhouse at Camden apartments in downtown Orlando, with its enormous TV, courtesy of Demetrius Ford, our official Location Coordinator. The address is:
688 N Orange Ave
Orlando, FL 32801
(map)
You can park in the parking lot in front of the complex and in the adjacent lot, just not in the garage. The clubhouse is inside the main complex, secured by a maglock, and it's super sweet. We'll try to leave someone outside to lead people in, but try to come earlier rather than later. If you get locked out, just ping one of us by cell phone or Twitter; I'll try to keep an eye on ye ole @orlandophp account.
Looking forward to another great meeting this month,
David @ OrlandoPHP.org
PS: Also note that we're having some technical difficulties with the regular domain name right now, so I got ye ole Meetup.com to change the URL for the meetup group back to http://meetup.com/orl... for now.
