CM-Card for security and storage

This article was originally published in VSJ, which is now part of Developer Fusion.
Wibu-Systems’ CM-Card is the combination of two of its software protection technologies, WibuKey and CodeMeter, in a single CardBus card that can be inserted into all modern notebooks.

It provides 256Mb of flash memory for storing program parts, information or data. Thus it gives software vendors the opportunity to protect their software and store data and programs on the card as well.

It conforms to the PCMCIA CardBus specification and to RoHS, and by working internally like a USB interface runs on notebooks in Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
