New visual interface for Perforce SCM

Perforce has released version 2007.1 of its Software Configuration Management System, which versions and manages source code and digital assets. Perforce SCM is part of the Perforce Visual Client, P4V, which is the cross-platform graphical user interface available on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD.

The GUI lets administrators create or modify users and groups, manage permissions for users and groups with drag-and-drop, create new users and groups from templates and monitor licence availability. It also includes a new ‘Reconcile Offline Work’ feature to deal with modifications to files while disconnected from the Perforce Server.
