Question about switching time ?

switching time , networking , reponse time Luton, United Kingdom

Assume that the switching time (time to store and forward a packet) is 10 microseconds. Will that have a significant impact on the application response time (request response) if the client is located at east cost and the server located at west cost and assuming that the propagation delay in the links between the client and server is approximately two thirds of the speed of light. Justify your answer. (assume east-cost west-cost distance is 5000 km and a speed of light of 200 meters/microsec.)

How am I supposed to answer this ? are there any relevant sources I could look at ?
