  p;ease tell me how to map the drives.I have database located in a box and my application runs on other box.I want to send my files to box2(where db is located) through mapping the disks.plz tell me how to do it.URGENT

  First the folder must be shared.
  

  
  right click the folder you want to share, choosing sharing. click radio button: share this folder.
  give it a share name.
  

  
  On other computer
  you can right click MY COMPUTER and select map network drive
  

  
  or dos prompt:   net use x : \computername\share
  

  
  where x is the drive letter you want to use
