(inline) frames in opera

I am building a site that uses inline frames (in a big way)... yes i do realise that this limits the number of browsers that can view it.  But i have problems viewing it in Opera.  I have used the "target" attribute for links, <a href="..." target="..."> but they don't seem to work.  I have enabled frames and inline frames in the preferences, but to no avail.

Am I doing something wrong, or doesn't opera support inter-frame linking?

evidently opera doesn't support 'em! use internet explorer 6!
