How do I use "Inet" to log on to the internet and to a specific web sit?

    Have you tried Inet.URL?

I suggest you ditch the iNet control and get into Winsock. Not only is that better but its more professional too. To see some examples of using the Winsock control to retrieve websites and using BASIC authentication wihthin  your application with support for proxies etc see vbIP which is the best resource for Winsock and any web related VB programming.
