about generating autonumber in report module of ms access

  Sir,

  i want to display autonumber in report module of access ,without relating with other module.can  it be possible that we do that.I have made a form where serial no is a field.data filled in the form are stored in table serially.and when i want to retrive report on current date it will display sl no like 1 2 3 4 etc.but when i want to see the report tomorrow it will display sl no next to yesterday.

  but i want that all the sl no would be serially from 1 to the no of records entered in that day.

  please give me suggestion.
