smardcard + vb.net

     I would like to build clinic management system and the patient  registration using card reader. Can vb.net support  card reader application? if vb.net can't, what the suitable language to use?

    Yes, you can use smartcard readers with vb.net. Do you know which card/reader you want to use?

    Hi, The card will only be used to identify the user? If so you do not need to have cards with memory (write), read only cards will do fine. You can try Contactless Cards (RFID) 125 MHz these are very common and the cost low.
