Hosting websites

    Hi All,


    In intereseted in developing the site.For that i have registed domain name and i want to host site from the webserver(apache) from my desktop.I got a static Ip adddress from the ISP.I have associated Ip address with domain name in dns sever.
    i wanted to make sure do i missing something,I will be glad to hear ur sugesstions.

    That's just about it. Is the DNS server on your machine or somewhere else? You need to make sure that the nameservers for that domain point to the correct IP address... then everything should work fine. DO NOT forget a firewall!
