I have created a standalone version of software which is based in VB 6 programming. This software required a .hlp file to be embedded in the application. This .hlp file was created using "help workshop" in "Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0".

Now this is fine in windows Xp.

But this hlp file is not being opened in Windows 7 and Vista.

Can anybody suggest me how to make this possible?

    Thank You in Advance. --Subhan

Help files are no longer supported in Windows from Windows Vista. You will have to upgrade to using HTML Help (CHM) or use WinHlp32.exe as mentioned in KBQ917607.
