How to Fill DataSet with more records (around 1 lakh) in a faster way

  Dear All,

          We have a windows application. In this we are filling a mysql subquery results into dataset. But due to more records(around 1 lakh) it was taking too much time to fill and our database is mysql and we are filling the dataset using mysqlDataAdapter. Please anybody tell me how to fill dataset with more  records with in few seconds. Even we have tried with datareader but using datareader also taking too much time to read.
