Dallas Android Developers Group

We are a cross listing of Dallas Android Developers Google Group. We will also be adding a message board there soon.

Meeting Content and Format We meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month and having a leadership meetings halfway between meetings on the last Thursday. The doors open at 7:00 PM and we have a meet and mingle where we discuss current events and show off our apps and new devices. At 7:30 PM we have a presentation for 30 minutes to an hour. After the presentation the big group will break up into several smaller groups with specialized foci. Presentations will be a mix of advanced and introductory topics to serve our varied membership.

Other Activities the Group will be doing · building a lending library · arranging to help each other test apps on different platforms · Contributing code snippets to learning repositories · Forming smaller groups to work on projects

    Each version of Android incrementally fragments the Android APIs as new APIs are added and existing APIs are deprecated. To reach the broadest audience and include robust features your application will need to deal with this API fragmentation. If you are not careful API management  will lead to a complex code base and bugs.
