Problem Solving Hackathon

This month we're going to be teaming up and tackling a series of small problems to get our heads around some of the things that we've learned in the last few months. The goal is for people to pick up their language of choice, preferably something functional, and attempt to apply some knowledge, do a bit of a problem solving and get familiar with how to apply ideas in a functional way.Problems will be revealed on the night.

A Series of Lightening Talks

Intro to FP & Haskell 101

Come along to the next BFG meeting, this one is pitched more at a beginners level.Brad Clow will be giving an introduction to functional programming, covering its history and some basic concepts.Oliver Reeves will giving a short Haskell 101 session, covering a bit of GHCI, basic Haskell language syntax & a bit about laziness and purity.Our new venue is the i.lab at Towoong, level 1 in the Data #3 building on Jephson St.
