"Serving the Oracle Community”Background
The UK Oracle User Group is over fifteen years old, and was established in the mid 1980s to advance communication amongst Oracle users, to promote feedback on their needs to Oracle Corporation UK and to develop relationships with other Oracle user associations.
The UKOUG currently has around 1,600 corporate members and each corporate membership usually has more than one representative actively participating in UKOUG activity. There are, therefore, currently around 8,000 active contacts within the group.
Membership of the UKOUG is held by a large range of organisations from large multi-nationals to small and medium enterprise companies, in addition to individual consultants. These companies are from environments such as service industry, financial, local and central government, utilities, defence and manufacturing. The representatives of these organisations come from a broad range of positions and job roles from senior and middle level management e.g. functional management as well as IT Directors and Managers right through to technical personnel e.g. DBAs, Analysts, etc.
