DC Women in SharePoint

Microsoft's SharePoint platform is one of the most remunerative areas of IT to be in today! Even in these tough economic times, SharePoint developers, infrastructure architects, information architects, business analysts and engineers are constantly in demand. So if you're a woman in the IT industry, even if you haven't worked in SharePoint in the past, you might want to check out our group. Women in SharePoint is a nationwide group that is dedicated to helping women build their careers through networking, training and mentoring. So even if you're not a SharePoint professional now, feel free to come to a meeting and meet women who are making good careers in this exciting IT space. Besides helping ourselves, we're interested in heightening the visibility of women in SharePoint and IT in general (how many IT conferences have you been to where there where only one or two women speakers!). We're also want to outreach to girls and underprivileged women in our community to let them know that IT is a field where they can be successful and make good money without spending a fortune on a college degree. So if you're a woman working with SharePoint or interested in becoming a SharePoint professional, come join us! Our DC (DC, Maryland, Virginia) chapter is just getting started and we're looking for women with energy and ideas who want to network, share and give back a little to the community. Hope to see you soon!
