Our Meetups are open to anyone interested in developing and operating sustainable websites and applications. Our focus will be to offer opportunities for our group members grow their understanding and appreciation of the Drupal framework and create a cooperative community in the far western suburbs of Chicago.

Typically we will try to meet on the fourth Thursday of the Month at McNally's Traditional Irish Pub! (schedule dependent)

This special meetup will cover the basics of Git.We will learn how to initialize a repository, commiting code and viewing the log.Then we will learn branching and merging and reverting to a previous versionIf there is enough time, we will also cover cloning an existing repository then pushing and pulling to a public repository like GitHub or Gitorious.Note: you should have Git installed on you laptop before this meeting as this will be more like a workshop then a lecture.

This is a special advanced "Workshop" on Best Practices for Development and Deployment and Maintenance for Drupal Sites.
