How to Attend

8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific.

Presented by John 'Pathfinder' Lester - Chief Learning Officer at ReactionGrid, Inc.

Integrated Reality is an enhancement of knowledge sharing through the complementary use of different technological tools.  Examples of such tools include virtual worlds, augmented reality, the web and mobile devices.  Next Generation virtual worlds will be tightly coupled to many other emerging technologies, leveraging modern knowledge management processes and providing platforms for broad use among teachers and learners.  This presentation provides an overview of the basic concepts of Integrated Reality, including an in-depth look at the role of 3d simulations and virtual world platforms.  It will include a live tour of Jibe.

See How to Attend for instructions on how to join him 'in-world' or simply watch from the comfort of your browser.

Here are some tech notes on attending. Schedule Link

  1. To attend, simply click on this link:  http://pathfinder.jibemix.com/jibe/agileworlds.html
  2. You will also want to install Vivox voice by clicking : http://jibemix.com/voicecheck
    (more info)
  3. John will speak in the "Expo" venue.   But after that, we will click on 'Warehouse' at the top left to teleport jump to another scene.    Don't worry if it's hard to transcribe and or film - we can just cover the Expo talk.  However, if you would like to try just follow to the warehouse with one click.

We will then return to the Expo and solve a memory puzzle.  (That is done on the client side, so everyone has to do their own puzzle!).  Your reward for solving the puzzle is to discover a portal to an alien world - our last stop on the tour of Jibe. (no one said space travel is easy!) :-D
