7:00 PM REFRESHMENTS: Snacks & cold drinks are provided

7:30 PM PROGRAM:

"Best Garden Plants in North Carolina" is the topic of Pam Beck at the regular Gardeners of Wake County meeting Tuesday April 16 at J.C Raulston Arboretum. See more about Pam Beck at www.PamBeckGardens.com

As always, folks will bring "Bragging Rights" plants to share with others, with first choice going to our esteemed visitors at the meeting end.

Directions to JC Raulston Arboretum

From the Raleigh 440 beltline, take the Hillsborough St. exit and turn West on Hillsborough St. going toward the N.C. State Fairgrounds.
Turn left on Blue Ridge Rd., cross the railroad tracks, and take an
immediate left onto Beryl Rd.
The Arboretum entrance is on the right shortly after Pylon Drive.

The Ruby McSwain Education Building is inside the JC Raulston Arboretum (affiliated with NC State University Horticultural Department), with gardens in front of it. Enter through the pedestrian gate on Beryl Road or the entrance into the parking lot on Beryl Road, then walk along the paths to the visitor center or the education building.

FYI: Exceptions: "The November meeting includes the annual business meeting...sometimes also a program, sometimes not. There's not a meeting in October because of the Fair, and the December "meeting" is the awards banquet. So - essentially there's no meeting with a guaranteed program from September until January. BUT: there are good lectures, tours, and programs at the Arboretum itself!" Quote: Vandi Bradow.
