The primary focus of this meetup group is getting together with others who enjoy cultural events, such as theatre and performance arts, classical music, museums, dining out, cooking, and entertaining in their homes (with limited numbers). Traveling to various beaches and seashores is also a goal.
Sharing the knowledge I gained in public relations, marketing, and event planning for various organizations, as well as the organizer for NC Symphony Suppers, Raleigh Ski and Outing Club (RSOC) events, "10s and Friends" co-op Single Suppers (over 200 members in two years), and as an adult student at NC State for over 10 years, of the many ways to entertain and enjoy this rich area were my motivation for starting this group. Now, I would like to enjoy concerts, plays, cooking, dining out, and gardening with others who like to do the same.
Before you ask to join, please read and be sure you understand the About information. Active seniors, empty nesters, singles, and couples are welcome!
We don't have any upcoming events for this user group. Do you know this group? If so, why not submit a future event? We also support iCal, EventBrite and Meetup feeds.

Cuisines of Germany and Poland; chef Todd Whitney does a remarkable job of showcasing the varied and nuanced flavors. Standout dishes include a roasted beet salad with toasted-pumpkinseed oil and horseradish Quark (a soft, fresh cheese popular in Germany and Austria) and seared scallops flavored with a goulash vinaigrette. Luckily the menu is not so haute that it forsakes staples like kielbasa and pierogies, the latter of which are often served in brown butter laced with crunchy bread crumbs.
