Join us to hear from a couple of Health 2.0 experts who will be discussing their experiences and viewpoints about how Web 2.0 technologies and solutions are impacting the Healthcare domain. Our speakers for this meetup include:

Sanjay Koyani, Director of Web Communications for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), leads Web design and usability efforts for the FDA. As director, he sets strategic direction for FDA.gov and related media, including the continued evolution of FDA.gov, assessment of Web 2.0 opportunities, and institutionalization of user–centered design approaches. Prior to FDA, Sanjay served as a Senior Usability Specialist in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Web Communications Division. At HHS, he served as project manager for the development of key evidence–based resources—like Usability.gov, the first usability portal in the Federal government, and the Research–Based Web Design and Usability Guidelines resource—which help Web managers and designers create highly responsive and usable websites.

Taylor Walsh, Publisher of MetroHealth Media, is an innovative, highly experienced Health 2.0 and new media professional with more than 20 years developing and delivering online and Internet content and community services. His current entrepreneurial activity involves carving out a piece of the local consumer health care market by converting a print directory into an online community for integrative medicine that serves the DC metro region. Taylor has been developing online content and community services since the advent of the digital information age, when he joined The Source, the first national online service for personal computer users (previously owned by the Reader's Digest). Taylor has been a strategic technology and web consultant to executives at various organizations including AOL, National Geographic Society and the Department of Defense.

Due to the overwhelming interest in our last event, we are moving this next event to a larger location. The next meetup will be held in a private back room at Jackie’s restaurant in downtown Silver Spring. This is a short walk from the Silver Spring metro on the red line and there is plenty of parking. We would also like to announce that we have a new additional sponsor, Palladian Partners. Thanks to Palladian Partners and Aquilent, we now have a bigger and better space and will be able to offer some great appetizers and beverages for all that attend the meetup.

We look forward to seeing you all on the 29th.
