XP Shutdown

    I've re installed my PC and now when I put if off, I always get the 'It's now save to put off your pc" screen.
    I want that my PC shuts down without that screen. How do I do that ?
    Windows XP.

    Start>Control Panel>Power Options> Advanced Tab


    should say 'When I press the power button on my computer ' & combobox select 'ShutDown'


    if you dont get it there it maybe that your computer isnt set to use ACPI properly.

    Thanks I will take a look at it tonight, but I don't think that's the solution.
