Hi all, new to the forum and am looking for commercial Git support and am considering Atlassian tools. I found one website http://www.thegitgroup.com/ offering git support; I am interested to hear about any alternatives for Git/Atlassian, any ideas?

    Welcome!

GitHub is the main one for Git. Services like codebasehq.com are worth checking out too. Developer Fusion currently uses bitbucket (from Atlassian).

    Hope that helps

For commercial git support: Akiri Solutions

For an alternative to Atlassian: The DevBox from Akirisolutions. The Devbox is based on trac with the same principles: "Trac uses a minimalistic approach to web-based software project management. Our mission is to help developers write great software while staying out of the way. Trac should impose as little as possible on a team's established development process and policies."

Atlassian products are much more complex with a different philosophy and are more suited to groups that have a lot of time to devote to project management rather than writing code.

The DevBox is free for up to 3 users and you're up and running 2 minutes after download.
