Style XP

Has anyone else had problems with Style XP causing strange errors in their applications? This is the only thing that I have really changed in windows (program that changes how buttons, forms, radiobuttons, etc. look), then all the sudden something like Application.DoEvents() (VB.NET Code) causes errors.
