Im trying to create a simple port 80 web scanner, i hear ppl saying "oh, i was bored so took a few seconds out of my day to create one, so im assuming its not that hard...

Goal:  to learn more about network communications

Anyone have any tuts on the topic?? VB.net 2005 doesnt seem to work with older 2003 tuts..and im getting discouraged..

Also, i see books about netwoking with vC# @ Amazon, however i cant seem to find any using VB.net.. is C# the language to use if i intend on doing protocol/netwoking related apps????

    Thanks in advance
