How to format your code for proper display in this forum ?

When I post program code in this forum (mainly the vb.net forum) it looks ugly and quite unreadable. I have seen many better approaches, e.g. a yellow/beige background that automaticlly adds scrollbars when necessary. How can I achieve that ?

    Use <pre>Your Code</pre>
