VB 2008 Express & SQL Server 2005 creating Data Source.

  I am trying to add a data source in VBE 2008 to a MS SQL 2005 data base and keep getting the message, This file is in use, Enter a new name or close the file thats open in another program.

  I am sure that the data base file (mdf) is not in use and have even created a new data base to try.

  Does anyone have any ideas?

  No i have not, i will give it a try. Once the connection is created can i then re attach the database?
