I am using a free reporting tool now. However, I find it hard to use. Moreover, when I meet a problem, I have no other way, but come here or some forums to post my question.

Someone advised me to use a chargeable one. For example, Crystal Report. So I would like to know is it worthwhile?

Hi. I have the same opinion with the one gave advice to you. The reasons are as follows: 1. The tabling capability of a chargeable reporting tool must be better than a free one. 2. The Help documents are free. 3. When you have a question, you can consult the technical support directly; even ask them to come to help you.

On the other hand, I don't think Crystal Report is a good choice. I recommend RAQ Report to you. It is a pure Java reporting tool which is simple to use.

Before buying a chargeable version, you can get the free one at http://www.raqsoft.com/download/install-package/. Then, you can have a try of yourself. For any help, you can get detailed user's manual in your installation directory.

If you would like to read more articles about reporting tool, you are also welcome to refer to my blog at http://freezea.blogspot.com/. Good luck.
