How do you Partner Up your team for Paired Programming?

    I am about to employ paired programming techniques with my development team and these are the best practices i plan to follow:

    My question is... how should i go about pairing the developers up?

    Should i let them choose? Or should I ensure experienced developers are paired with juniors... etc?

    Any views / experience is appreciated,
