The purpose of this group is for local HTML/CSS enthusiasts and professionals to meet, support each other, and share ideas in a non-competitive environment.
We're ethical, passionate, and dedicated. We don't spam or push sales on people.
Web designers, developers, and even web design hobbyists are all welcome. It's preferred that you know some HTML/CSS, but we'll let you slide on that one if you have a strong passion for the work ;)
Enthusiasts from Sequim, Port Hadlock, Chimacum, Port Angeles, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, Quilcene, Brinnon, and the rest of the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas are all welcome, if you're willing to travel. If there is enough demand, maybe we can get meetings going in those areas.
What we're not about is social networking, web marketing (except in the form of coding SEO). Although some of that may intertwine with coding, we're just not about sales at this time - sorry.
We will talk about code and design, and commiserate about clients and problems in our field. We created a similar group in Santa Cruz, California, and have seen what a wonderful support it is - let's create community here!
We can simply meet for coffee, or if we get ambitious, we can have meetings where a presenter from our group will educate the rest of us on their expertise or pet project.
