As professionals and/or hobbyists in the computing industry, we employ many different languages and technologies. Heterogeneous systems are becoming the norm. Over the past few years a number groups have formed around Vancouver that attempt to start or sustain a technical conversation, but these are often narrow-scoped and short-lived. Polyglot Vancouver is intended to bring together software engineers, computer scientists, system administrators, or whatever title you choose, by providing a single curated list of technical meetups. The goal is to increase the awareness and focus of the deep technical conversations taking place in the city, rather than diluting subject matter for the sake of larger audiences.
