From commercial to open source, we discuss and work on platforms like Social Engine, Elgg, Jomsocial, Drupal Community Building Modules, Dolphin, BuddyPress, LovdbyLess, etc... and evaluate the pros and cons.
Our goal is to further promote social networking / social media integration as a standard feature for websites, as well as foster the development and growth of small business through open source and the social network platform.

All of these things must be answered before you can even begin to write content, much less the design, information architecture, ux, content management, etc...Most of the headaches professionals in the interactive space experience stem from either bad content strategy or a complete lack thereof.

We usually begin with introductions and finding out everyone's skill level, and then move on to preferred platforms according to everyone's knowledge on the topic. Everyone is encouraged but not required to bring a laptop to their first meeting.We will require everyone who has joined the group to bring a laptop to meetings to keep up with ongoing topics. This will be a little bit faster pace, and direct to the point compared to other meet-up groups on the topic.
