  Yearly December Potluck Pirate Gift Grab, Games, and Movies! December 15 (Saturday) Noon to about 10pm.Costumes are appreciated but not required. Pirate, steampunk pirate, ice pirate, pirate of penzance, etc. The Pirate Gift Grab is not mandatory, if you wish to take part then bring a wrapped pirate, steampunk, mad scientist, sci fi, or fantasy themed gift worth $5 to $10.Bring food (already cooked, please), and bring what you like to drink with enough to share.

  We've decided to make the monthly meetings of the Identity Crisis Social Club (ne IKV T'Mar) more of a regular open BBQ Potluck and Games day. So we're inviting all our nerd friends again!So on the 2nd Saturday of each month, when the weather is good we'll hold it as a BBQ, and when the weather turns not so nice, we'll hold it indoors.The next one is this coming Saturday. Noon to around 10pm.

  Robyn and I moved to Lacey about a year ago, it is time for a housewarming!Well, two parties, since all our friends cannot make it to one date. So on July 14 and 28, both Saturdays, we're holding a potluck BBQ, game, and movie day. Bring games and movies, if you wish.We've got a propane BBQ, bring food already prepped or ready to toss on the barbie. Steve is going to BBQ brocolli. Smear the heads in butter/margarine and put them on the top shelf and close the lid... yum.

It uses LocalWiki, some really great wiki software made using Django.Wiki-building meetups should be a fun way of learning more about Olympia, introducing a few new people to the space, and a well-edited wiki for Olympia will be pretty useful.

Come on down and create something!I got the RTL-SDR's working and will try to put together a small demo. No ham activity yet but I have successfully demodulated FM radio and some 2-meter land mobile stations on 150-160mhz. This is a $20 Software Defined Radio that can be hacked into an all-mode receiver capable of tuning from about 64-1500MHz.
