    Wii remote hack day and Kinect cancelled) now open coding : see update at bottom of pageThe name says it all.This is a draft for now - I'll update with more information shortly, but suffice to say that this hack day is about building hacks with Wii remotes and (equipment permitting) other "hackable" equipment, e.g. Xbox Kinect.Because we only have a morning, we won't be inventing new hacks, instead we'll be reproducing famous open source hacks on some really fun equipment.

  • Project Continuity: Get PhoneGap talking to Rails

    We made some good progress at the last meetup, where we developed a PhoneGap app that can request tweets from Twitter. The Rails app is coming along as well, as we now have a service that will respond with the current date and time in both HTML and JSON. The next job is to get the PhoneGap app talking to the Rails App, requesting the date and time in JSON format, parsing the returned data, and displaying it in an attractive and useful fashion on the phone.

    We had a good set of discussions today to plan out what we're going to build for Project Continuity (notes at | | next meetup will be to get people set up with the tooling, etc., we plan to use for the project, so come along with your laptop.  We hope to get started on a bit of coding too.  We're mixing tech on this project, so there's something for everyone, whether you're experienced in a particular area, are interested in finding out more, or want to learn something completely new!
