Sapphire is based on ComponentOne’s Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) component technology and presentation framework which, in combination with Silverlight’s XAML technology, delivers everything software developers and designers need to create and deliver RIAs in short development cycles. Due to be released on the same day as Microsoft Silverlight 1.1, Sapphire is ComponentOne’s Rich Internet Applications (RIA) toolset for Silverlight, and includes basic UI controls such as buttons, containers, date/time, lists, sliders, and text as well as powerful grid, chart, and schedule controls. Each control uses XAML and the graphics and design features found in the Microsoft Expression Studio to fully support skins, graphics, and animation.
