DevPartner for fault simulation and security testing

Compuware has previewed new technology that should help build more stable and secure applications. DevPartner Fault Simulator provides a way for development and testing teams to ensure high quality and reliability in application error-handling code, which is often difficult to test during the application development life-cycle. Fault Simulator is designed to trigger and exercise the error handling code that you have built into applications. This makes it as easy to test what the application does under abnormal as well as normal conditions.

DevPartner SecurityChecker provides an application security vulnerability analysis that should enable developers to locate and fix security vulnerabilities in ASP.NET applications. It checks known vulnerabilities and identifies any weaknesses down to the lines of source code involved. It also offers advice on how to implement a repair to secure the application.

DevPartner Fault Simulator and DevPartner SecurityChecker are currently both in beta testing.
