James first started this website when learning Visual Basic back in 1999 whilst studying his GCSEs. The site grew steadily over the years while being run as a hobby - to a regular monthly audience of over half a million unique developers. In July '08 James left his job as Head of Development at a digital agency in London to focus his energies on developerFusion full-time.
RoboHelp Office is a well designed and matured product. Most effort has unsurprisingly been concentrated on RoboHelp HTML, and as such is its main strength. RoboHelp Classic is also excellent, but lacks the integration of RoboHelp HTML. Its reliance on Word will create added costs if you don't have Office installed. Because of this you might be better looking elsewhere for a dedicated standard-help editing program. Nevertheless, RoboHelp Office 9 is an excellent program, and comes highly recommended.
It is also worth noting that both RoboHelp HTML and RoboHelp Classic can be bought separately, so if you plan to create help files in only one of the formats, then it makes sense to only purchase the one you need!
