Large XML fies

Hi,
I have an XML file which has all the city entries statewise. This file has approximately 30,000 entries. I want to fill my DropDownlist with cities in ASP.NET webform on selection of my other state dropdownlist. Now as my cities XML file is too big it almost hangs the browser. Anyone give me the best approch to load large xml files and bind data with dropdownlist so i can get the fastest result on my page.
