  For our February meetup, David Walker will be taking us on a tour of RavenDB. • January Meetup - Calling All Phone Developers

  Many websites claim to be RESTful when they use a pretty URL structure. ASP.NET MVC makes it very easy to set up a website with pretty URLs and return web pages or JSON. But REST is more than simply keeping your site structure clean and returning JSON. This session will go through some simple changes that makes it possible for a an ASP.NET MVC site to make it observe RESTful principles making it accessible both as web site and a web service.

Icouldn't understand why anyone would do that to themselves. Surely black screens for coding were for the 80s. Then I learned how to use it.

They move swiftly and assuredly taking multiple tiny steps in places where you perhaps see only one large step, if you see any steps at all.When the job is done you'll feel like it was all so simple and logical that surely you could have gotten there too, but for some reason it never seems to go to plan.

• May Meetup - The Projects That Never Were

  For the May meeting we were thinking of doing something where everyone participates instead of the usual presentation of a topic.We are going to try a round table pitch from everyone about a project you would have liked to do but never had the time (or other reason) to move forward with. Maybe someone else is sitting with a similar idea.The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 PM on the 18th of May and as usual it will take place at the Trinity Capital Hotel on Pearse Street.
