Women Who Code is the largest and most active community of engineers dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. We envision a world where women are representative as technical executives, founders, VCs, board members, and software engineers. Our programs are designed to get you there.

Who should join? Our community is for professional women and allies of women in technology careers, including software engineers, developers, UX/UI designers, data scientists and more. Current and aspiring coders are welcome. Bring your laptop and a friend!

What to expect? Our events offer free hands on technical events, study groups, panel discussions, lightning talks, and keynotes featuring influential tech industry experts, innovators, and investors. FAQs: 1. Can men come to your events? WWCode events are open to all allies of women in tech, regardless of gender. However, we ask that any male attendees be especially mindful of following our Code of Conduct mentioned above, which strictly prohibits any form of sexual or other harassment, including messaging our members or physically approaching them in a non-professional manner. Anyone found violating our Code of Conduct will be permanently banned from all our events and platforms. Please be mindful of events that have high popularity and consider giving up your spot to give the opportunity to attend to a female/non-binary participant. Additionally, we ask that male allies show their support for then Women in Code community by contributing to our Open Collective: https://opencollective.com/wwcodenyc# 2. I'm on the waitlist! Can I still come? This depends. Some of our hosts have a strict security policy and those who are not the list will not be allowed inside the venue. However, we frequently have extra spots available for drop ins from the waitlist and if security allows it, you are welcome to attend. If you decide to come to an event without being on the RSVP 'Yes' list, please be aware that there is a possibility that you will be denied entry.
